Ultraviolette X-47 Venom Price Starts at Rs 2.65 Lakh, Offers Up to 343 km Range

Ultraviolette’s X-47 Venom brings a new platform, rear radar and a claimed 343 km range to the electric motorcycle market. The 7 kWh version starts at an introductory Rs 2.65 lakh for the first 5,000 units; its regular starting price is Rs 3 lakh. The company has yet to detail prices for the 11 kWh battery or the full variant lineup, so buyers can’t yet compare the complete range on price.

Bookings open at 4 pm on October 22, 2026, and deliveries are scheduled to begin in November 2026. The X-47 is the first motorcycle built on Ultraviolette’s VX-100 architecture, which the company says will also underpin future products. That makes the bike a debut for a broader engineering update, with changes to its battery, motor and controller aimed at reducing weight and improving efficiency.

A lighter platform, with new motor and battery hardware

The motorcycle is quoted at 180 kg, up to 20 kg less than the previous generation. Ultraviolette says the redesigned battery pack weighs 15% less and has 25% higher energy density. Its cooling arrangement has also changed: axial cooling replaces the earlier radial setup, with the company claiming twice the cooling performance.

The new Light Fury motor runs at up to 9,000 rpm and uses soft magnetic components. Ultraviolette puts its weight reduction at 25–30% and says it uses 50% less rare-earth material. The controller is also smaller, weighing 40% less than the current-generation unit. These changes may help explain the claimed reduction in overall motorcycle weight, though the company hasn’t supplied independent test results or real-world efficiency figures.

Two battery sizes, with range details still incomplete

Buyers will be able to choose between 7 kWh and 11 kWh battery packs. Ultraviolette says the larger SRB-11 pack has 11 kWh of usable capacity and a claimed IDC range of 343 km. It hasn’t published a range figure for the entry-level 7 kWh version. The 343 km figure is a test-cycle claim, so day-to-day distance will depend on riding conditions and use; the source provides no real-world range estimate.

The motor produces 30 kW, approximately 40 bhp, and 550 Nm of torque at the wheel. Claimed acceleration figures are 2.7 seconds from 0–60 km/h and 5.9 seconds from 0–100 km/h, with a top speed of 155 km/h. DC fast charging is supported at up to 12 kW, and the motorcycle also has an onboard charger. Ultraviolette hasn’t stated charging times, so the practical advantage of the larger pack and fast charging will be clearer once those details are available.

Riding modes, regeneration and battery protection

Ultraviolette says Ballistic mode remains available until the battery charge falls to 10%. Regenerative braking can now operate from a full charge; on the earlier setup, it became available only below 90%. That change extends when riders can use regeneration, although the company hasn’t provided figures for how much range it can recover.

The battery system combines a battery management system and cell-level fuses with a pyro-fuse. Ultraviolette says the pyro-fuse is designed to isolate the circuit within microseconds if it detects a critical fault. The battery enclosure has an IP67 rating for protection against dust and water ingress. These are the company’s stated equipment details; the source does not include independent evaluations.

Rear radar, touchscreen and connected features

The X-47’s Hypersense system uses a 77 GHz rear radar with a claimed monitoring distance of up to 200 metres. Its listed functions include blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assistance, overtake alerts and rear-collision warnings. Hazard lights can activate when the system detects a threat from behind.

A 7-inch touchscreen running Interface X anchors the cockpit. Announced equipment includes Mappls navigation, rear-camera park assist and cruise control. Connected functions include software updates and VIOLETTE AI alerts for movement, falls, towing and crashes. The feature list is broad, but buyers will need details on how these functions work in everyday riding and which versions include them.

Colours, warranty and rider gear

Colour choices are Afterburner Yellow, Turbo Red, Cosmic Black and Stellar White. Ultraviolette has also announced extendable warranty coverage of up to 8,00,000 km, but detailed terms and eligibility have yet to be clarified. That information will matter when buyers compare long-term ownership coverage between versions.

Alongside the motorcycle, the company showcased its B-MAX safety vest. Ultraviolette claims 86% force attenuation and says the vest can be reused up to five times; no price is specified.

For now, the key buying questions are the missing 7 kWh range figure, prices across the full lineup, charging times and warranty conditions. Those details will determine how the X-47’s introductory price and equipment translate into a practical ownership comparison.
