2027 Leapmotor B03X: Australian Price, Range and Specifications
Description
The B03X starts at $26,990 before on-road costs, with up to 382km of claimed WLTP range and a larger battery in the Design LR.

Leapmotor’s B03X arrives in Australia with a starting price below the BYD Atto 2 and a claimed range of up to 382km. The compact electric SUV is due in showrooms from November 2026, with two front-wheel-drive versions and a choice between a lower entry price and a larger battery.

The Style costs $26,990 before on-road costs, compared with $31,990 for the BYD Atto 2 Dynamic. That makes the Leapmotor the cheaper starting point on the prices listed here. Buyers who purchase and take delivery between October 1 and December 31, 2026 can get the Style for $29,990 drive-away in standard Acorn Brown paint.
The longer-range Design LR is listed at $30,990 plus on-road costs, and Leapmotor is offering it for $33,990 drive-away until December 31, 2026. Even at its list price, it sits below the Atto 2 Dynamic’s stated price. These drive-away offers have specific delivery dates and, for the Style offer, a paint condition, so the listed prices and promotional prices describe different buying terms.
Two batteries, one front-drive layout
Both B03X versions use a single electric motor driving the front wheels, a layout that distinguishes the smaller model from Leapmotor’s larger B10 and C10 electric SUVs. The Style pairs a 39.8kWh lithium iron phosphate battery with 130kW and 200Nm. The Design LR raises battery capacity to 53kWh and power to 145kW, while torque remains 200Nm.

Leapmotor claims the same 0–100km/h time of 8.6 seconds for both versions. Claimed WLTP energy consumption is 15.5kWh/100km for the Style and 15.7kWh/100km for the Design LR. The larger battery extends claimed WLTP range from 292km to 382km, a useful difference for buyers who expect to make longer trips between charges.
Maximum AC charging is 11kW on either version. For DC charging, the Style is rated at up to 100kW and the Design LR at up to 133kW. Both also include 3.3kW vehicle-to-load capability, which can supply power to small appliances. Actual charging times and range will depend on conditions; no charging duration or real-world range figure is provided here.

Compact footprint, flexible storage
At 4270mm long, 1810mm wide excluding mirrors and 1635mm tall, the B03X sits below Leapmotor’s B10 in the brand’s SUV range. Its wheelbase measures 2605mm. Boot capacity is listed as 475 litres with the rear seats in place, expanding to 1315 litres with them folded.

The 60:40-split rear seat backs fold, and their bases can lift like cinema seats to create room for tall or bulky objects on the floor behind the front seats. Leapmotor calls these “Leap Flex” seats. A separate 105-litre waterproof, washable compartment sits beneath the boot floor; the brand calls it the “Leap Box”. Leapmotor also says the cabin has 33 storage spaces, though the listed specifications don’t detail their sizes or locations.
Equipment and safety features
The Style comes with automatic LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers and 18-inch steel wheels. Inside, its equipment includes an 8.8-inch digital instrument display and a 14.6-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite navigation, in-car Wi-Fi, over-the-air software updates and a six-speaker sound system. Wireless phone charging, automatic climate control, cloth seats and a TechnoLeather-wrapped steering wheel are also included.
Both versions list autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, driver attention monitoring, front and rear cross-traffic assist, lane-keep assist, lane-centring and Traffic Jam Assist. A reversing camera and rear parking sensors are standard. The B03X has not yet been assessed by ANCAP, so no assessment result is available in the source details.
The Design LR adds 18-inch alloy wheels, power-folding mirrors and a 360-degree integrated dashcam. Its audio system has 12 speakers, and its cabin adds TechnoLeather seat upholstery, a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and colour-adjustable ambient lighting. Front and side parking sensors and a surround-view camera with a transparent-chassis view are also listed for this version.
Warranty, servicing and options
Leapmotor provides a six-year, 150,000km vehicle warranty and an eight-year, 160,000km battery warranty. The package also includes eight years of roadside assistance and eight years of capped-price servicing. Scheduled servicing is required every 12 months or 20,000km, whichever comes first, but service prices have not been provided.
Premium paint costs $990. Available finishes are Seaweed Green, Berry Blue, Rime Beige, Galaxy Silver and Tundra Grey. The Style is offered only with a Currant Black interior; buyers of the Design LR can choose Currant Black or Oat Grey.
For buyers weighing the two versions, the central trade-off is straightforward: the Style has the lower price and a claimed 292km of WLTP range, while the Design LR adds 90km of claimed range, more power and extra cabin and parking equipment. Its $4,000 higher list price buys the larger battery and a broader feature set; the drive-away offers give both versions a separate promotional price through December 31, 2026.
